Zoo History Museum History

Featuring more than 500 animals of 100 different species, Space Farms has the largest private collection of North American animals, in their natural surroundings in the United States. The zoo also has many exotic species from around the world. Space Farms is internationally famous for their bear and lion cub breeding programs.

A trip to the country zoo thrills children of all ages as they stroll the grassy grounds and are able to feed animals in special animal access areas. Younger children love the attention of free roaming chickens, ducks and geese.

The Space Farm's Museum contains more than 50,000 artifacts, including 50 antique cars, motorcycles, farm implements, early American tools, dolls, clocks, tractors, horse drawn sleighs, and Native American artifacts. Space Farms also has the second largest privately owned collection of antique firearms in the United States.

Don't forget lunch or a snack in Space Farms' NEW Extreme Pizza restaurant, where you can grab a fresh slice of pizza — or anything else on the extensive Extreme Pizza menu — now located at Space Farms! The Extreme Pizza restaurant will be open daily from 10a – 9p, and Friday and Saturday from 10a – 10p, where you can eat in or order out — and Space Farms delivers all year around!

	Directions from New York City Take the George Washington Bridge to I-80 West. Get off I-80 at Exit 34-B. When you come off you are on Route. 15 North. Stay on Route 15 N for 17 miles until you come to a 4-corner intersection with a traffic light (Route 15 ends there). Turn right onto Route 565 North. Go 4 1/2 miles and turn left at the Space Farms sign, which will be on your left. This is Route 637. Follow the signs to Space Farms. Free parking is on the right.



	Directions from Staten Island Take I-287 or I-280, to I-80 West Get off I-80 at Exit 34-B. When you come off you are on Route. 15 North. Stay on Route 15 N for 17 miles until you come to a 4 corner intersection with a traffic light (Route 15 ends there). Turn right onto Route 565 North. Go 4 1/2 miles and turn left at the Space Farms sign which will be on your left. This is Route 637. Follow the signs to Space Farms. Free parking is on the right.



	Directions from Newburgh, Monroe, Connecticut Area Take I-84 West to New York Exit #2 (Mountain Road). Go left off of exit ramp onto Orange County 55 South. Follow into New Jersey where it becomes Sussex County 519 South Stay on Route 519, Space Farms will be on your left. Space Farms is 13 miles from I-84. Free parking is on your right.



	Directions from Rockland, Westchester, Munsee, Spring Valley, Suffern, Ny I-287 to Route 23 N past Route 94 junction (Hamburg) Follow Route 23 N 1/4 Mile past the Wantage Plaza and car dealers on right. Turn left at the bottom of the hill (Space Farms sign on your left) onto Route 565 S. Follow 565 S to traffic light. Go straight through traffic light onto Route 628. Follow 628 to Route 519 S To Space Farms in Beemerville, about 6 miles from Route 23. Free parking is on the right



	Directions from Monticello, LibeRoutey Ny Area Route 17 to Route 42 S to Port Jervis. In Port Jervis follow signs to 6 East through town till you get to Route 23 South. Take Route 23 S into New Jersey till you come to a gas station with a large Space Farms sign and take right onto Route 519 S. Stay on 519 S to Space Farms on your left. Free parking on your right



	Directions from West Milford, and Route 23 Take Route 23 North past Route 94 junction, (Hamburg). Follow Route 23 North 1/4 Mile past the Wantage Plaza and car dealers on Right. Then Turn left at the bottom of the hill (Space Farms sign on your left) onto Route 565 South. Follow 565 South to traffic light. Go straight through traffic light onto Route 628. Follow 628 to Route 519 South To Space Farms in Beemerville, about 6 miles from Route 23. Free parking is on the right.



	Directions from Philadelphia, Trenton and South Jersey Area Take the NJ Turnpike or NJ Parkway to I -287. Follow I-287 to I-80 West. Get off I-80 at Exit 34-B. When you come off you are on Route. 15 North. Stay on Route 15 N for 17 miles until you come to a 4 corner intersection with a traffic light (Route 15 ends there). Turn right onto Route 565 North. Go 4 1/2 miles and turn left at the Space Farms sign which will be on your left. This is Route 637. Follow the signs to Space Farms. Free parking is on the right.



	Directions from Stroudsburg Area: From the Stroudsburg area cross at the Delaware Water Gap. Take I-80 East to Route 94 North to Blairstown. Follow Route 94 through Newton. Follow Route 206 North (4 miles) to the traffic light. (Route 206 goes to the left and Route 15 is on the right) Go straight onto Route 565. Go 4 1/2 miles and turn left at the Space Farms sign, which will be on your left. This is Route 637. Follow the signs to Space Farms. Free parking is on the right.



	Directions from Scranton Area From the Scranton area take I-84 East to New York Exit 1. Take NJ 23 South 8 miles to the Gas Station on the right. There you will see a large Space Farms sign. Make that right onto Route 519 South. and follow the signs for 519 for 6 miles to Space Farms. Free parking is on the right.



	Directions from Easton, Pa Cross Delaware to Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Follow Route 57 N to Hackettstown. Follow Route 517 to Route 206 North to Newton. Follow Route 206 N (4 miles) to the traffic light. (Route 206 goes to the left and Route 15 is on the right) Go straight onto Route 565. Go 4 1/2 miles and turn left at the Space Farms sign, which will be on your left. This is Route 637. Follow the signs to Space Farms. Free parking is on your right.
