There are so many fun things to do in Sussex, make sure to add Space Farms Zoo & Museum to your list! Bring your kids and enjoy many great outdoor activities for whole family.  Our wild animal park makes a great adventure to learn about animals and their natural habitats. Visit with our zookeepers and learn all about Space Farms Zoo animal friends. There are so many fun things to do outdoors during the holidays and special events at Space Farms all year long.


Special Events this Summer!

FATHER’S DAY
Sunday, June 20, 2021

Free drawing to win a season pass.
Special nursery feedings and sessions on maternal behavior.

JUNIOR ZOOKEEPER
Saturday, July 17, 2021

A special day for children 4-15 to assist Zookeeper Lori with daily care of the animals. Learn about animals through hands-on activities and receive a Junior Zookeeper Certificate at the end of the day. No preregistration necessary to participate. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

TEDDY BEAR DAY
August 21, 2021

Have your bear and keep him too! Free child’s admission when you bring a teddy bear with you to visit Space Farms! Get one free child admission per adult admission. Note: Space Farms does NOT keep the stuffed bears. More details to follow.

Daily Animal Feedings

During the summer, visitors can watch animal feedings everyday at 12:45 pm. On rainy days we may change feeding times, so call ahead or ask at the admission desk for more information & participation times.


Feed the Animals

Animal crackers may be purchased at the zoo to be thrown to the bears and monkeys, along with corn for the farm ducks, chickens, goats, sheep and calves.

Bottle Feed Animals

Nursery farm animal bottle feedings happen throughout the day. Visitors are welcome to join in at the daily 2 pm feeding, weather permitting. Come join the family for fun on the farm! Don’t forget your camera.


Parrot Show

Watch Zoo Momma Lori feed and care for the parrots. The parrots love to dance to “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” or “Row Row Row, Your Boat.”
